Musical Styles Along the Crooked Road Exhibit
Entire month of September @ Jessie Peterman Library
Sources of Country Music The traveling exhibit, designed by the Blue Ridge Institute in Ferrum, presents the rich variety of roots music western Virginians sing and play. The exhibit also includes rare film footage and photographs of historic Crooked Road musicians.

Viewing of Stanley: Words and Music

Join us for the Floyd premier of a documentary featuring Willis mountain dulcimer maker Stanley Lorton. This twenty minute film, captured over a ten year period, follows Stanley in the process of making mountain dulcimers. Adding to the festivities will be music from local string wizard Mike Mitchell.
