Musical Styles Along the Crooked Road Exhibit
Entire month of September @ Jessie Peterman Library
The traveling exhibit, designed by the Blue Ridge Institute in Ferrum, presents
the rich variety of roots music western Virginians sing and play. The exhibit also includes
rare film footage and photographs of historic Crooked Road musicians.
Viewing of Stanley: Words and Music
Sunday, September 12, 2pm @ Jessie Peterman Library
Join us for the Floyd premier of a documentary featuring Willis mountain dulcimer maker Stanley Lorton. This twenty minute film, captured over a ten year period, follows Stanley in the process of making mountain dulcimers. Adding to the festivities will be music from local string wizard Mike Mitchell.

Author Ralph Berrier will read from his new book, If Trouble Don't Kill Me, set in southwest Virginia.
Live music at the event will be sponsored by The Floyd Country Store.

Local Artist Diane Relf will discuss her artwork and help you create a one of a kind
friendly face. The entire family is invited to come and have some fun. Co-sponsored by
Eastmont Arts Association.
