You might not recognize her name but her book, “Smile,” has been a huge hit with Teens and Tweens alike.  It is a graphic novel centered around the life of a character named Raina (hmm, wherever did she come up with that name??) as she goes from a 6th grade to 10th grade.  We are taken on a ride of the ups and downs of friendship, family, school and BRACES! 

She has a new book coming out (you can put it on hold now) entitled “Drama.”  This is about a girl, Callie, and her two twin best friends as they ride an emotional roller coaster while serving on the stage crew for a middle school production of Moon over Mississippi as various relationships start and end, and others never quite get going.
