Review of New Craft Book

“Show Me A Story” by Emily K Neuburger

Craft books for children are not uncommon, but this book takes a whole new spin on it by creating crafts that allow children to become storytellers.  I feel that children are natural storytellers but as we(adults) can have a hard time tapping into that creativity that used to be so organic.  Those magical lands can seem lost to us.  Lucikly the author of this book recognizes that and has created a book that sparks our own imaginations.   

Mrs. Neuberger has divided the book into 4 sections, “Story Starters, Story Evolution, Story Activities, and Story Play.  Each section has several ideas within it that have easy to follow instructions for how to create the crafts but also tips for how to use these crafts for the art of storytelling.  There are also great photographs to acompany each activity.  I think children of all ages will enjoy this book!
