Tom Angleberger

I had the chance to attend a presentation by author and illustrator, Tom Angleberger, last night at the Blacksburg Library.  His book, Attack of the Fortune Wookie, was recently released and there was quite a large crowd – the room was full!

My Mother/Daughter Book Club has been reading “Fake Mustache” for our November meeting and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for the girls to see an author in person.  Mr. Angleberger puts on a GREAT show!  He would start drawing a character from a book and the audience had the chance to shout out who they thought it was.  One of our daughters made the right guess for Fako and won the poster her drew!  He was funny, engaging, and very nice.

The girls who went were so glad they did and have already said how much they want to read at least one of his others!  Success!
