Rachel has a review series on our Facebook page but since her most recent review was about local author Kiera Kass, and her book “The Selection” I thought it would be good to post. Rachel Recommends:

I’ve just finished reading ”The Selection” by local author Kiera Cass, and I am not a happy camper.   Why?

Because this is a supremely addicting story and I have to wait for the next book to find out what happens next!

This story is much more complicated than a first glance might lead you to believe. One glimpse and you might think: “Hm. Future society, semi-dystopian existence—depending on your caste or social class—until a fiery redhead from one of the lower classes becomes a contestant on ‘The Selection,’ a reality show in which a prince picks one of 35 girls to be his bride.”

Trust me! There’s so much more to this story than who gets the prince and what sort of outfit everyone was wearing. I’d say more, but I hate spoilers.

Go read it!

PS I, for one, cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. According to Amazon.com ”The Elite” will be out in April 2013.
