Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library values the health and safety of the community and staff, and will operate in compliance with any state and/or local restrictions.
Library Status
The library buildings are open to the public during our normal operating hours. Curbside Pickup and Library Picks For You services remain available. We are no longer quarantining returned material.
As of July 1, 2022 all MFRL is now Fine Free. What does Fine Free mean?
Covid Kit Availability
We receive a limited supply of Covid Rapid Testing kits from the Virginia Dept. of Health. The below is real-time status of kit availability at each branch.

Face Coverings
Each individual is responsible for wearing a mask/face covering if that is the right health decision for them. Library staff may use masks when providing assistance. Library staff are happy to provide masks upon request.
Covid Testing Kits
We are offering Rapid Covid-19 Antigen Test Kits at NO COST! Pick up one for FREE at the library. These are being distributed by Curbside Pickup Only. Call your branch for Curbside Pickup.

Vaccination
Use Virginia’s COVID-19 Vaccine Statewide Pre-registration System to ensure you can get your vaccine when supplies are available. Alternatively you can pre-register over the phone at 877-VAX-IN-VA.

If you have cold-like symptoms (Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath) DO NOT go to the Hospital or Emergency Room; first call the New River Health District COVID-19 Hotline @ (540) 267-8240 Their hours are:
