Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Information Page
With Virginia Executive Order #79, effective as on Friday May 28, 2021, most COVID-19 restrictions are no longer mandated in Virginia. Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library values the health and safety of the community and staff, and will operate in compliance with any remaining state and/or local restrictions.
The library buildings are open to the public during our normal operating hours. Curbside Pickup service and Library Picks For You service remain available. We are no longer quarantining returned material.
MFRL is not assessing fines on overdue days from March 16, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Fines for overdue adult materials resume on July 1, 2021. Children’s items are always fine-free.
Virginia no longer requires fully-vaccinated persons to wear masks or other face coverings in public. Each individual is responsible for wearing a mask/face covering if that is the right health decision for them. Library staff may use masks when providing assistance.
